The Ballet Conservatory at Fort Worth Country Day provides students from around the metroplex the opportunity to study with experienced professionals in the world of ballet. With the emphasis on developing the technique and artistry of each dancer, The Ballet Conservatory provides a curriculum to foster the joy, expression and discipline of ballet at every level. The Ballet Conservatory at Fort Worth Country Day invites all students in the metroplex to participate in its outstanding ballet training program. The school provides quality ballet instruction for all levels of advancement.

From the youngest pre-ballet student to the aspiring professional, each student is guided through a curriculum designed to enhance both physical skill and the appreciation for the artistry of dance. The goal of The Ballet Conservatory is to provide a firm foundation for each dancer to attain his or her full potential through a combination of the highest quality training and exciting performance opportunities.

Girls will wear the selected leotard for their class with pink ballet shoes. Pink tights are not required until Parent Observation Days or for performances. Students will wear thin white socks with their ballet slippers. Hair must be in a bun or a secured ponytail.

Placement of students in the student division is governed by individual potential and technical proficiency not entirely by age, grade, or amount of previous training. New students ages 9 and up must audition for placement.

  • Students in the Student and Pre-Professional Divisions will wear their selected leotard and matching skirt with tights matching their skin tone. We prefer body wrappers tights. A45 for adult sizes and C45 for children’s sizes.
  • Ballet shoes can be canvas or leather and should match their tights. Hair must be secured in a bun.
  • Boys will wear black tights or black shorts with white t shirt and white socks and white or black ballet shoes.
  • Attire is available at The Dance Shop at 2485 Forest Park Blvd. and Winners All Dancewear at 6500 Camp Bowie Blvd. Suite #160.

Please note that the FWCD Ballet Conservatory follows the FWCD Calendar and some changes may be made during the year.

  • January 13 - Classes resume
  • January 20 - Martin Luther King Holiday
  • February 14 - Spring holiday
  • February 17 - Presidents Day
  • February 18-21 - Upper School Musical - No classes for JK - intermediate 2 
  • March 17-21 - Spring Break
  • May 17 - Spring Recital 7 p.m. - No JK or Kindergarten on this day 
  • May 18 - Spring Recital 2 p.m. - No Ballet 1 on this day

Full tuition payment via credit card is due upon registration. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Ballet Conservatory tuition is non-refundable; fees cannot be refunded or prorated for missed days, including absences resulting from illness or injury.

Parents/guardians of students are responsible for transporting their students to and from Ballet Conservatory classes. FWCD families who would like to utilize SOAR Extended Care coverage before Ballet Conservatory classes are welcome to do so (please note: SOAR Extended Care fees are applicable for this service).
