Xixi Hillman ’22 earned at 2021 Creative Writing Award from the from the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) Société Honoraire de Français for her piece, “Hortense Laborie dans le film ‘Les Saveurs du Palais.’” She received a check for $100 and is published in the latest issue of L’Elan, the organization’s spring newsletter. 

Xixi is a student of Upper School French Teacher Andréanne AnnisEvelyn Richey ’22, Isabel Garza ’21Vail Dickey ’24, Abigail Proell ’24 and Alexis Espino ’23, who also entered the contest, were also selected by Annis to be entered into the contest. FWCD’s French program was recently honored by the AATF as an Exemplary Program with Honors
