Femi Adedokun ’22 represented FWCD at the fourth Dallas Young Artist Exhibition at the Blue Print Gallery in Dallas last week. Adedokun’s artwork was on display with other talented artists in the DFW metroplex. Since its inception, the gallery has been instrumental in giving young artists long overdue consideration. In his exhibited work, Adedokun aimed to express his complex relationship, experiences, and eventual acceptance of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

He experimented with an abstract element in his photos by incorporating photoshop and later manipulated the lighting, saturation, shadows and cropping of some images to convey deep emotion and create visual metaphors. He also practiced the incorporation of bright natural lighting to express a new revelation, plane of thought, or beginning in some of his photos, but the challenge came from balancing the shadows and revising them to make sure not to obscure some items within the photos.
