Convocation 2022 on Friday, September 9, brought Falcons back together in the Sid W. Richardson Round Gym, for the first time since 2019, to celebrate as a school and kick off the 2022-23 school year! View the slideshow. The 35-minute program featured Falcon Rain (an activity where each Quad made a different sound and altogether made the sound of rain), led by cheerleader Eloise Senter ’24, a faculty/staff Falcon Sing-Off, and a message from Upper School Student Body President Jeremy Henderson ’23.

The crowd was hyped by the time Head of School Eric Lombardi stepped up on stage to talk about what convocation means and why today’s date was so special – September 9 marks Fort Worth Country Day’s first day of school 59 years ago.

While Henderson and Lombardi made significant remarks related to the new school year, nothing could compete with the Falcon Sing-Off, featuring faculty and staff from each Quad taking turns singing songs from certain categories until one Quad remained standing. The quick-thinkers of the F Quad won the challenge!

Convocation ended with the cheerleaders leading the School in the fight song.
