Kindergarten cowboys and cowgirls showed their stuff in the 55th FWCD K-Rodeo on Wednesday, April 24, for the Class of 2024 and Lower School students, followed by a parent viewing on Thursday, April 25. Many alumni parents were part of that audience, reminiscing about their performances! View the slideshow

This time-honored tradition, created by former Kindergarten Teacher Melinda Miller, allowed all 75 kindergarteners to show their leadership and performance skills as they dressed up in western wear to reenact the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. Riding stick horses, bouncing on bulls and dressing up as creative clowns, the Class of 2036 took over the Sid W. Richardson Round Gym for their performances. Beloved banjo player Dan Bloch H’06 returned for the 55th time, accompanying the Falcons as they sang “Deep in the Heart of Texas.” The show ended with line dancing to “Achy Breaky Heart.” Watch the highlights from this year’s rodeo.
