To date, FWCD’s 91 seniors have submitted 543 applications to 154 different colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad. Seventy-six seniors, or 84% of the class, have received one or more college acceptances to date, and it is this percentage that is about to increase exponentially. Many seniors will receive exciting early-admission news in the weeks leading up to winter break.

Each year, FWCD seniors compile an impressive list of college acceptances. Members of the Class of 2025 are off to an excellent start. Their current list of acceptances can be found here, and it will continue to grow throughout the spring.

While good news is always the goal, early college applicants receive one of the following possible outcomes – admit, defer or deny.

When students are admitted, the College Counselors celebrate right alongside them. When students are deferred, the College Counselors are quick to encourage applicants to remain positive and help them submit their first-semester grades and write about their continued interest in the college/university if it remains a top choice.

When students are denied admission, the College Counselors are equally invested in the outcome and even shoulder students’ disappointment. While not being admitted packs an emotional punch, it is, unfortunately, an inevitable outcome during the college admission process, especially when FWCD seniors are applying to the nation’s most selective institutions. Notwithstanding, the College Counselors help seniors revise their respective application plans in advance of the Regular Decision deadline, which requires applications to be submitted before winter break to meet early January 1-5, deadlines and receive admission decisions around April 1, 2025.
