College Admission Case Studies Program on April 5
Sophomores, juniors, and their parents and guardians are encouraged to save the afternoon of Saturday, April 5, for the College Admission Case Studies Program at The Oakridge School (5900 West Pioneer Parkway in Arlington, Texas).
This Fort Worth-area independent school program is co-hosted by FWCD, All Saints’ Episcopal School, Trinity Valley School and Oakridge.
From 2-4 p.m., College Admission Representatives from across the country will lead parents and students through an admission committee discussion using several mock applications. Participants will gain a better understanding of how college admission applications are reviewed and decisions are made.
Kathryn Carter, FWCD parent of Chappell ’25 and Price ’26, praised last year’s event, saying, ‘The Case Studies program was absolutely wonderful—both eye-opening and informative. I could tell that every parent in the room shared my enthusiasm.”
Although the College Admission Case Studies program is only open to sophomores and juniors and their parents or guardians, students in grades 9-11 from the four host schools, along with their parents and guardians, are encouraged to attend a college fair of the participating college/university representatives from 4-5:30 p.m.
Additional details, along with registration information, will be announced in a future edition of The College Connection.
