Fort Wonder Specialty Camps are half-day camps from 9 a.m. to noon or 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. These educational camps feature specific topics to fuel emerging interests. Check out what is offered in summer 2025. 

Mastering the College Essay – Rising Seniors Only

Learn the best approaches to craft persuasive, compelling college admissions essays AND write/revise those essays in this seminar class led by two veteran English teachers from FWCD. The seminar will include visits from College Admission Representatives and FWCD College Counseling faculty.

High School & Adult Pottery – Entering Grades 9 to adult

Learn the art of hand building and throwing on the potter’s wheel. Various glazing and firing techniques will be explored. Beginners, as well as experienced potters and clay artists, are welcome.

Rhythm & Grooves – Entering Grades 1-3

Dive into the joy of singing catchy tunes, dancing to playful neat, and exploring the magic of music through fun games, activities and instrument exploration.

Step-Up to Fourth Grade

Calling all third graders – get primed for fourth grade success! Get a head-start on the school year with a wide variety of fun reading, writing and math activities in this camp session. 

Percussion Summer Jam – Entering Grades 3-5

Interested in drumming? Check out this exciting percussion camp! You will explore an array of percussion instruments, including djembes, tubanos, bongos and bucket drums, while discovering the vibrant beats of music from all over the world.
