Environment Achievement/Awards

The Technology Department celebrated Earth Day on April 23 by recycling three pallets worth, a ton or more in weight, of broken and unusable FWCD electronics. Dr. Steve Uhr, Director of Technology; Andy Beasley, Network Administrator; and Aaron Lowe, Technology Specialist, sorted through various electronics -- computers, printers, scanners, TVs, cables and phones -- to clear out about 18 months worth of broken equipment. The pallets were picked up by Commodity Recycling Solutions, Inc.
