Sean Hong ’27 represented Fort Worth Country Day at the Texas Junior Academy of Science State Competition on October 13, earning an Honorable Mention for his research paper and presentation titled “Design and Build of an Innovative Desktop Computer Using an Apple Power Macintosh G3 Housing with Aesthetic Appeal and Current Gaming Capabilities.”

The TJAS is an annual meeting and science competition organized by Texas A&M University for students in grades 9-12 from across the state. The competition encompasses 14 categories across various science and engineering disciplines. Hong competed in the Engineering category. Hong can be seen in the upcoming fall play, Peter and the Starcatcher (November 15-17), in the role of Boy/Peter. Outside of school, Hong plays the cello, serving as Vice Principal Cellist for the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra, and modifies and fixes electronic devices. He has modified a PowerMac G3, which he presented on, and an iPhone 14.
