FWCD celebrated two students that earned the 2024 Spring Season SPC Sportsmanship Awards—Hannah Cheng ’24 (softball) and Benjamin Hoppe ’24 (boys tennis).

DeAnn Hall, Softball Head Coach and Program Director, is very proud of the teammate Hannah is. “Hannah is a great leader and very deserving of this award! She is someone her teammates look up to and has been a great example of how to play the game with intensity, a positive attitude and integrity.”

Boys Tennis Head Coach Tim Hatcher is proud of the player Benjamin has become. “Benjamin approaches every practice and every game with a mindset of improving,” he said. “While leading from the front, Benjamin is a great model of what hard work and sportsmanship is for Falcon Athletics.”

“I love watching Hannah and Benjamin play,” said Director of Athletics Leigh Block. “They’re both great competitors, and they both play key roles on very good teams, but most importantly, they carry themselves  well and have such positive attitudes. They are terrific ambassadors for our school.”
