This summer, FWCD boys’ soccer players Ezra Alaniz ’28, Cannon Black ’26, Jacob Dederick ’27, Chuy Orozco ’25 and Luke Vincent ’26  took their skills to new heights, participating in a variety of prestigious tournaments and camps across the country. 

Ezra Alaniz ’28 competed in the MLS Next Cup Tournament in Nashville, a premier event featuring the nation’s top MLS academies. Representing the MLS Hornets, Ezra faced off against teams from West Virginia, Kentucky and Georgia, helping his team achieve a 2-1 record.

Cannon Black ’26 attended a College Soccer ID Camp at Wake Forest in North Carolina, where he worked hard to catch the attention of college recruiters.

Jacob Dederick ’27 took his talents to Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., attending a College Soccer ID Camp to showcase his abilities to potential college coaches.

Chuy Orozco ’25 showcased his talents at the US Club Soccer National Cup Tournament in Denver with his Solar West team. They had a strong showing, finishing with a record of 1-1-1, with Chuy scoring the winning goal in their victorious game.

Dario Rosas ’25 honed his skills at a College Soccer ID Camp in South Carolina, aiming to impress collegiate coaches and scouts.

Luke Vincent ’26 competed at the Elite Clubs National League National Playoffs in San Diego with the Solar ECNL 07 team. The team faced tough competition from Florida, Northern California, and Georgia, ending the tournament with one loss and two ties. Vincent also attended College Soccer ID Camps in Denver and the Boston area, participated in Kohl's Football Kicking Camp in Dallas, and was selected to attend Kohl's National Invitational Scholarship Kicking Camp in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
