FWCD’s Parent Faculty Association awarded Tammi Hodges (Business Office ) with the April Falcon Wings honor and Linda Stewart with the March Falcon Wings honor. Falcon Wings recognize PFA volunteers, FWCD teachers or staff who soar above and beyond the call of duty to enhance PFA programs or events, or have improved the greater FWCD community through their dedication and enthusiasm. A book will be donated to the library in their honor.

Tammi Hodges is a lifesaver with superpowers that can solve all problems in just the nick of time. We would not be surprised if she appeared out of a phone booth with a cape on her back – maybe with a super “J” on it for “JotForm!” She has rescued the PFA on more than one occasion, done it with pleasure and with a smile on her face. Tammi is calm when we are flustered, knowledgeable when we are not, and timely when the clock is ticking. She truly saved us this year – a year that looked like no other, and we cannot thank her enough.  She exemplifies FWCD’s core values and could not be more deserving of this award.”

Linda Stewart is the mom who seems to always have things figured out. When the FDP needed a volunteer crew, guess who organized it? She and her own mother both came. When the book fair needed help with mom or dad power, there was one who made it happen. When the concessions at sports events needed staffing, who took the reins to line up volunteers? And when SPC came to Fort Worth Country Day, one can imagine that all the sports were covered by a team of volunteers because of her. It was seamless. Linda has overseen the PFA Nominating Committees twice now; she’s chaired many PFA events, has served as a Room Rep multiple times, is at this very moment chairing a golf tournament, and has already taken up the duties of serving as the Secretary for the senior class. We’ve got her one more year.  When you get a moment, tell her ‘thank you.’  She has removed so much of the chaos from our school and has made so much of it – seamless.”
