All seven of FWCD’s National Merit Semifinalists are now National Merit Finalists. Paul Alexander, Janie Bradford, Oliver Cristobal, Jack Ethridge, Mary Johnson, Henry Lynn and Andrew Nober will continue on in the scholarship program for National Merit Scholar consideration. The selection of some 7,500 Merit Scholarship winners from the group of Finalists is now in progress. Three types of awards, the National Merit $2,500 Scholarship, the Corporate-sponsored Merit Scholarship, and the College-sponsored Merit Scholarship, are underwritten by approximately 420 independent sponsor organizations as well as by NMSC with their own funds.
