Ninth-graders Nara Acuna GubaCharles PortwoodChappell CarterJaya ConmyMurphy Hoefer, and Elizabeth Dike escorted eighth-grade parents around the Bass Upper School during an evening parent “Step-Up” program on Wednesday, January 26. Earlier in the day, students learned about the Upper School through three rotations: academics, fine arts and athletics, and student support and Upper School co/extracurricular programs.

Program directors, administrators, faculty, and club sponsors shared information and opportunities about their programs. Current Upper School students will also share their experiences and tips for success. In the evening program, parents met with the Upper School administrators and counselors who support and guide students and families through their four years in high school and heard from Department Chairs, who shared learning goals and the scope and sequence of their programs. These “Step-Up” events introduce our rising ninth-graders and their families to the Upper School and showcase our programs, academic departments, and talented faculty and staff.
