Parents and guardians of students in grades 9-11 are invited to attend College Knowledge Night on Wednesday, January 10, from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Lou and Nick Martin Campus Center.

This year’s program features Kasandra Phillips, Senior Associate Director of Recruitment and Undergraduate Recruitment and Outreach (a Division of Academic and Strategic Collaborations) at Texas A&M University, and Vitia Martinez, Director of the Dallas Admissions Center at The University of Texas at Austin in Dallas.

In her role at Texas A&M, Phillips oversees the university’s in-state recruitment efforts for Corpus Christi, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Laredo, Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio and East Texas. She has served 19 years in many capacities, including committees for the university and in professional societies.

Martinez has served UT Austin for more than seven years in her role as Director and Assistant Director of the Dallas Admissions Center. Prior to coming to UT Austin, she was a Senior Regional Advisor for Texas A&M and worked for more than 11 years in the university’s Dallas/Fort Worth Prospective Student Center located in Arlington.

Please plan to join the College Counseling team for a thoughtful and pragmatic discussion about admission to the state’s flagship institutions.
