Senior Macie Mallick was selected as the North Texas Buick Dealers Scholar-Athlete of the Week. She was featured on WFAA Channel 8 on Sunday, February 13, on Joe Trahan’s Sports Special. The program recognizes North Texas high school seniors who have excelled in academics and athletics and contribute to making their community a better place to live. Nominees must be a senior who is in the top 20% of their class.

A High Honor Roll at FWCD and AP Scholar, Macie hopes to pursue business in college. Her Senior Capstone Project was a podcast highlighting influential Fort Worth business leaders. She has been Editor in Chief for the Falcon Quill for the past two years and participates in several community service activities. Captain of the field hockey team, Macie earned the Heart and Hustle Award and was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National All-Academic Team both her junior and senior year and was a Stansbery Award winner her freshman and sophomore years and the Outstanding Female Athlete as a sophomore and junior.

“The list of accolades goes on and on,” said Field Hockey Program Director and Varsity Coach Paige Farris Chisholm ’86. “Aside from excelling in academics and athletics, Macie is a wonderful person that works hard and always puts her team and others first.”
