Trainer Ed Serves as Team Up For Sports Safety Panelist

Head Athletic Trainer Ed Chisholm was recently invited to serve on a panel for Team Up For Sports Safety (TUFSS). The TUFSS initiative, led by the Korey Stringer Institute, was established to drive changes and adoption of policies proven to reduce catastrophic sport injury at the secondary school level. This initiative travels state by state and brings together key individuals responsible for improving health and safety policies for high school athletes. 

Chisholm shared that a wide range of topics were discussed; his specific panel focused on cold-water immersion for treating heat illness. The leaders of these discussions will share the information obtained in hopes of formalizing action items for adoption or improvement o
