Eight FWCD student members of the National Charity League, Fort Worth Chapter, recently were awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award “in recognition and appreciation for their commitment to strengthen our nation and communities through volunteer service.” Lillian Buchanan ’23, Bailey Flynn ’26, Isabella Kaufmann ’23, Olivia Miller ’26, Caroline Sanders ’23, Ruby Tam ’26, Sophie Tam ’25, and Radha Vallurupalli ’24 worked more than 100 hours in their community from June 1, 2021, through May 31, 2022. 

 

Each recipient received a medal, a certificate, and a letter from President Joe Biden. Parent recipients were Tulisha Buchanan, Karen Flynn, Leesa Kaufmann, Malathi Ravi, and Melanie Tam. The NCL core program is for mothers and their daughters, grades 7–12, to participate in a program that embraces philanthropy, leadership and culture.
